Brief History

The San Jose City is located at the Northern Section of Nueva Ecija province about 130 kms. North of Metro Manila. San Jose City is considered the gateway and springboard to the lush Cagayan Valley Region. The water district of San Jose City was formed in March 1977 by the issuance of the Conditional Certificate of Conformance No, 036 through the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA), which recognized and confirmed the establishment of the Sa Jose City Water District.

At present, the San Jose City Water District has one (1) spring and seven (7) deep wells, servicing almost 40, 000 residents or 6,500 service connections in 20 zones of its service area, 24 hours daily.


The SJCWD will continue to work to attain its mandate of serving the San Josenians of a clean and portable water at 100% coverage.

Committed to provide our concessionaires with affordable, safe and potable water that conforms or even surpass the existing standards of the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water (PNSDW)
